Art Painting by Herranz Marcelino

Marcelino Herranz was born in 1956 in a town in Spain called Vigo. Though he enjoyed painting right from childhood, he studied to become a medical doctor, specializing in the field of pediatrics i.e. a doctor who specializes in treating infants and children.

Marcelino Herranz took up painting as a hobby in 1989. Between 1989 and 1993, he settled down to discover his skills and find what he enjoyed painting. He found out that a lot of difference existed between the things he liked to paint and things he really could paint. Nevertheless, he refined his skills and worked hard on his painting techniques.

In 1994, he decided to take painting a step further. Far from being a hobby, painting became a way of life for him. He contacted a number of painting teachers in Barcelona (where he lived) and scheduled lessons with them. He finally settled for Manuel Sanchez Almendros, whom he refers to as "his teacher".

Marcelino Herranz's paintings touch on a wide range of themes. For instance, his painting and portraits of horses, landscapes, nudes and faces are well known. Since 1997, he has consistently produced original and beautiful art pieces, paintings that are unique in style and very refreshing.

He had his first art exhibition in the town of Vigo in Spain in September 2002. Twenty-four art paintings were exhibited with the exhibition lasting for 15 days.
