An
in-depth look at demotivational posters - Consulting

"If
you're not part of the solution, there's good money to be made in prolonging the
problem". Could there be a better way of describing what consulting is all
about? It could pretty much be believed that this demotivational poster strikes
home a chord which is not simply satirical but somewhat true.
Looking
back to recent history, the consultancy firm Arthur Andersen knew about the
problems the failed energy giant Enron was facing but kept quite about it.
Andersen wasn't a part of the solution. Far from it, for Enron was a willing and
trusted client and Arthur Andersen did everything it could to 'prolong' Enron's
problem as long as it kept getting paid.
But
consulting firms aren't always that bad. There are a trustworthy one's as well
as trustworthy consultants. Yet, this demotivational poster is intended to
present the most demotivating aspect of what it means to be involved in
consulting.
Indeed
if you're not part of the solution, there's a lot of cash to be made prolonging
the problem, isn't there?
