An
in-depth look at demotivational posters - Delusions

"There
is no greater joy than soaring high on the wings of your dreams, except maybe
the joy of watching a dreamer who has nowhere to land, but in the ocean of
reality".
Dreaming.
It is one of the most beautiful and sublime of human qualities. The ability to
be submerged in thoughts and fantasies that you will one day be great, rich,
powerful, influential. Now, there's nothing wrong with dreaming. It is a trait
of normal, hardworking and dedicated fellows. However just as important as it is
to dream, it is also that important to know when your dream ceases to be what
you think it is but a delusion.
And
with what better words can one explain this than those used by the Delusions
demotivational poster shown above. Few things bring more joy than we you see the
works of your hands bear fruit. Students who study hard in college become ecstatic
when they pass their exams with As. Company CEOs are filled with joy when their
companies are able to beat rivals in the market. Mothers and fathers are happy
when their kids grow up to be responsible people in society.
But
you need to know when your dream is becoming not a dream but sheer stupidity
filled with irrationality. For instance, some people believe they can become
rich over night by investing in some schemes (some of which are scams by the
way). They willingly give out hundreds and in some cases thousands or millions
of dollars in the hope of receiving a ten-fold increase in a few days time. How
foolish! As some would say, when we stop thinking with our heads and begin
thinking with our emotions, then we are only a step from living in a world of
delusions.
The
Delusions demotivational poster presents what may be thought of as satire and
sarcasm but, there is a great deal of reality in it. For many have dreamed
foolishly, deluding themselves only to find out that there was nowhere else to
land but in the ocean of reality. And guess what? After landing in the ocean of
reality, they sunk to its deepest depth.
