An
in-depth look at demotivational posters - Nepotism

Nepotism
refers to favoritism shown or patronage granted to relatives. The Nepotism
demotivational poster states: "We promote family values here - almost as
often as we promote family members."
Nepotism
is without doubt something a lot of people dread. No one would ever want to be
treated unfairly simply because he or she fails to be a member of a particular
family or group.
Nepotism
does come in many forms, and the Nepotism demotivational poster uses what all
demotivational posters do best - sarcasm in art to pass a message on. By using a
lion cub playing with and protected by its mother, it goes to show that animals
will always protect their own.
In
human societies however, though it is natural to help those closest to us more
deeply, biased favoritism is something to be avoided. For instance, a company
manager doesn't simply end up giving a job to his brother, simply because such a
person happens to be his brother. There are standards, sets of rules and
criteria that must be followed and met before people are employed in companies.
In that regard, human society can be said to be advanced. Except for the fact
that nepotism still sometimes reigns supreme in quite a number of cases,
unfortunately.
