provoking art pieces, which present issues from a sarcastic point of view. In
contrast to conventional motivational resources, demotivationals are more down
to earth and plain. While motivational resources tend to emphasize the fact that
everyone can become great and successful, demotivationals on the other hand
belong to the class of resources which will tend to put it this way: everyone
cannot be successful, chances are that you are one of those who'll end up
unsuccessful. Very anti-motivational but also very true.

also becoming quite common. Demotivational posters are a rather novel art form,
first introduced by Despair Inc. The original idea was borrowed from
motivational posters.
Demotivationals
can actually help us relax. With stress on the increase in the workplace and in
families, the humor brought by demotivational resources such as demotivational
posters can indeed be soothing sometimes. For demotivationals actually present
reality the way it is. Not everyone can become an astronaut or the CEO of a
Fortune 500 company. But, everyone can be happy, friendly and cheerful. While
demotivationals do not call on us to lower our goals or expectations, they
remind us that there are more important things in life than pride, place and position.
