fox is a member of the dog family. Actually, it is the smallest member of this
family. Foxes can be found in the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa inhabiting a
wide range of vegetations from forests to deserts. The most common specie of fox
is the red fox, known for its rusty red or brownish red coat.
When
foxes live close to humans, they are known to help deal with swelling rodent
populations. However farmers in particular are wary of foxes knowing that they
hunt livestock such as chickens and ducks. This has led to the eradication of
foxes from certain areas of the world.
