The
Personal Side of Military Art Prints

The
presence of military art prints and posters reminds us of those men and women who give all to defend a cause in which they deeply believe.
All over the world today, many people enjoy relative peace and calm,
thanks in part to those who came before them who had to fight to achieve these.
Military art prints and posters also remind us of one thing – that we can live
in a world without wars, if we are willing to respect each others values and
aspire towards a better future for the world.
A
lady once recalled that each time she gazed at military art prints hanging on a
wall, it was as though she was taken back in time being present at the battles
fought. Indeed, for some military art prints convey such deep messages that our
emotions are stirred when we gaze at them.

| Scotland Forever! |
|
|
|
The
print shown on the left titled "Scotland forever" by Lady
Butler depicts one of the numerous battles fought by the Scottish to liberate
themselves from English rule. Fortunately, these days, England and Scotland no
more go to war over this. But several men and women paid for their lives for the
peace both the Scots and English enjoy today.

| WWII Marine Woman Poster ... |
|
|
|
The
next military art print dates to the second world war, undoubtedly the most
bloody conflict in
human history. It reads "Free a Marine to Fight" with a lady
standing by an airplane. Interestingly, women played a very significant role in
ensuring the allied victory during the second world war. Though not very much
involved in actual combat, the war would not have been won had it not been for
the selfless services of women who worked in the medics, battle preparation
rooms and secret code decoding rooms.

| Farewell |
|
|
|
Imagine
the pain on many a woman's heart when her loved one has to leave for battle. The
final embrace, the tears of sorrow and the great fear that she may never see him
again. A number of military art prints capture this theme very well, like the
one on the left titled "Farewell" and painted by Clay Wright. Here, a
Calvary soldier says goodbye to his loved one just before he hurries off to
battle to fight in the American civil war.

| Keep`em Flying |
|
|
|
Keep
'em flying is an American classic vintage military art print that was used to
lure people into the Army Air Corps during World War II. Come to think of it,
the second world war actually saw airpower used on a massive scale for the first
time, and though unthinkable just 50 years before, winning or losing a war
became strongly tied to the strength of one's air force.

| Fighters |
|
|
|
And
finally, we present some of the fighter jets that form the backbone of the
American air strength - the F-15 Eagle, the F-16 Falcon, the F-117 Stealth
Fighter and the F-18 Hornet. These planes help keep countries around the world
safe. Yet each time you see one fly by, recall that there in the cockpit sits
someone who may be a father, a mother, a brother, a sister, a son, a daughter or
just a friend. All
