William
Blake Art Prints and Posters

William
Blake (1757-1872) was an English poet and painter. He was born November 28, 1757
in London. Right from childhood, he took interest in becoming a painter and at
just 14, became an apprentice to James Basire, who was an engraver. William
Blake's artworks were heavily influenced by his religious beliefs. As seen from
art prints and posters available today, William Blake rejected 18th-century
conventions, stressing the supremacy of imagination over reason in his
works.
